In 2017 Shannon was diagnosed with a terminal brain tumor and told she had only a few short months to live. She was told she had no options and her creativity would be the first thing to go. But Shannon trusted God had a plan for her and was determined to push forward.  She designed and created Papillon Bebe's clothing line and continued to focus her efforts on her family for almost four years before her passing, greatly surpassing all medical expectations.

To Shannon, Papillon Bebe represents trusting in the highest source and planning for the future. It represents creation and new beginnings. Papillon Bebe, which is French for "butterfly baby," represents the miracle of being reborn and the symbolic transformation of a butterfly. She is so grateful to share what she created and is still watching it transform into something beautiful.
